The Faculty of Engineering Naresuan University was established as a project in the higher education development plan, according to the National Economic and Social Development Plan, Phase 7 On May 21, 1994, the Faculty of Engineering was established along with the establishment of the Faculty Secretariat Office, Department of Civil Engineering and Industrial Engineering. Two courses have been opened, namely the Bachelor of Engineering Program in Civil Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering Program Industrial Engineering.

• In 1995, the Department of Mechanical Engineering was established and opened to teach the Bachelor of Engineering program in Mechanical Engineering.
• In 1996, the faculty decided to open an architecture course under the Department of Civil Engineering.
• In 1997, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering was established and opened to teach in Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering Program in Computer Engineering.
• In 1998, a special bachelor's degree program was established. It was open to teach the Bachelor of Engineering Program in Civil Engineering Bachelor of Engineering Program in the Industrial field and Bachelor of Engineering Program Computer Science.
• In 2000, the faculty opened the Master of Engineering program under the Environmental Engineering Program (Plan A).
• In 2001, the Master of Engineering program was opened in Civil Engineering (Plan A) and Architecture courses are separated into the Faculty of Architecture.
• In 2002, the Master of Engineering program in Production Engineering and Automation (International Program) (Plan A) was opened.
• In 2004, the Master of Engineering Program in Construction Management (Plan B) was opened.
• In 2005, the faculty opened the Master of Engineering Program in Management Engineering (Plan A), Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (Plan A), Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering (Plan A), Bachelor of Engineering Program Department of Environment and Bachelor of Engineering Program in Materials.
• In 2007, the Doctor of Philosophy course in Management Engineering (Plan A) was opened.
• In 2008, the Master of Engineering Program in Structural Management and Town Planning (Plan B) and Doctor of Philosophy Program Civil Engineering (Department) was opened.
• In 2009, the Bachelor of Engineering program in Chemical Engineering was opened.
• In 2013, the Doctor of Philosophy program in Environmental Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy Program in Computer Engineering were opened.
• In 2015, the Master of Science in Disaster Management (International Program) or Master of Science in Disaster Management was opened (International Program) together with the TESA Association. The faculty host the International Conference on Embedded Systems and Intelligent Technologies (ICESIT2015).
• In 2017, the Master of Engineering Program in Chemical Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy Program in Mechanical Engineering were opened. Moreover, the faculty hosted the National Academic Conference on Knowledge and Digital Society 2017.
• In 2018, the faculty hosted the 40th session of the Council of Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of Thailand and hosted the 18th Academic Seminar on Logistics and Supply Chain Management, The 18th Thai Value Chain Management & Logistics Conference (Thai VCML 2018).
• In 2019, the Business Development and Innovation Service Unit (USIS) was established and opened. It was opened as a learning center and innovating for the industrial sector in the lower northern region.
• In 2020, the chemical engineering and materials engineering laboratory was opened, and hosted the 43rd Electrical Engineering Conference, The 43rd Electrical Engineering Conference (EECON).
• In the year 2021 (end of the semester, academic year 2021), the Master of Engineering program in Biomedical Engineering (Multidisciplinary) and Doctor of Philosophy Program Biomedical Engineering (multi-scientific) were opened.
• In 2022, in 2022, the Bachelor of Engineering in Intelligent Innovation Engineering (English Program) or Bachelor of Engineering program in Intelligent Innovation Engineering (English Course) was opened.
